Awareness-raising and environmental education activities concerning the Iberian wolf and lynx have a key role to play in the project. Among the planned initiatives are a series of exhibitions organised by Grupo Lobo, which aim to improve local communities’ knowledge of these species and raise awareness of their conservation. The four available exhibitions — in information panel or photographic format — focus not only on the target species but also on other large European carnivores, addressing the challenges to their conservation and the strategies that enable harmonious coexistence with these species.

Between June 2024 and the end of 2025, the exhibitions were displayed at 26 venues and events, including parish councils, libraries, Ciência Viva centres, fairs, festivals and science conferences. Most of the exhibitions took place within the project area — covering the municipalities of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, Pinhel, Mêda, Fundão and Proença-a-Nova — but some were also held in neighbouring regions and at high-profile national events. It is estimated that these exhibitions reached around 23,700 visitors, including schoolchildren.

To enhance the visitors' experience, the exhibitions have been supplemented with video and audio content, accessible via QR codes, enabling a more immersive and interactive experience. Feedback gathered through paper-based and online questionnaires reveals high levels of satisfaction and an increase in knowledge about the species and the importance of their conservation. Visitors found the exhibitions interesting and said they would recommend them to others, reinforcing the positive impact of these initiatives.
